Here's the FLC "Center", which is also
the home of Beulah Church on
Sundays. Many meetings, events and
meals take place here. Also, it is the
home of the ESL program which
teaches English and also ministers to
local Thai people, as well as tribal
people.
Beulah Church in session. Services
are often a combination of three
languages, Thai, Rawang, and
English. Sometimes there are no North
American guests, so only the first two
are used. Here, Pastor Somsak and
Beverley Kalnin are doing
announcements.
Another communion Sunday with Mr.
Waranton serving. It was a great loss to
FLC when this quiet and servant-hearted
man of God passed away suddenly last
fall. He is sorely missed; please pray for
his wife and children.
Easter communion is about to be
served in 2005. He is Risen indeed!
Here are Singers keeping track of one
of the many hymns sung at Beulah.
Worship is a mix of hymns and also
modern worship songs. It's fun to be
there and hear the tune to "How Great
Thou Art", but the words are in Rawang!
Lincoln leading Worship Team practice
in the sound-proof room out back.
The sound is just awesome in there as
they practice... but it gets stifling hot!
(Lincoln is one of the Media Team
members!)
Some soaking prayer for Mr. Sayan
Kusawadi, the director of the "Home of
Blessing" which FLC helps support. It
is a home and school for girls who
otherwise might get into the awful
prostitution rings in Bangkok.
After the Sunday service, the chairs
are moved and some delicious food is
brought out for everyone to share! It's
a great time to come together and chat
about the past week or exciting events
upcoming.
Here is one of the famous dinner
events served at the center. The food
is fabulous and is only surpassed by
the incredible hospitality and
thankfulness shown by FLC toward all
those who help the ministry.
Dish washing after the meal. Yes, in
the back there IS a guy helping, too!
ESL Program at the Center
A wonderful puppet show put some
zing into the program. The students
write their own script and then speak it
loudly and distinctly for all to enjoy.
Here's a special program showcasing
the students' improved English skills
using singing, skits, and readings.
Tiffany and Alyssa, both from Denver,
Colorado, put a lot of energy into
teaching the students. This photo is
from their three-month trip in '05, but
now they are back in Thailand again,
this time to help FLC for one year!
Here some students are singing some
praise songs in English. Notice the
"Home of Blessing" t-shirt. Many of
these students also work as vendors in
the Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai.
Pat Chapman is another all-star
English teacher from North America.
She comes over every January for two
months of disciplined and creative
teaching. She is known as a "tough
cookie" and one great teacher.
Here is Tiffany and Alyssa's kids class
from last year. Waranton's boy is in
orange. Kittipong, in purple, and
Kittya, with eyes closed, lost their Dad a
couple years ago. Please pray for
them, and their mom.
Ya gotta enlarge THIS photo. Just look
at all these smiling faces, not only from
learning English, but also from
studying about JESUS as they do!
ESL Bingo is a fun way to learn!

message, while Beverley translates it

guests.
