The Marco Project
Give advice, your thoughts, and creative ideas. Send some money for the Village or
Marco's education program. Pray, pray, pray. Join the Bless the Village and Marco
Project Team (below.) SEND out a link to this site to all your friends. Write to Marco
to encourage him! GO to Panama to meet and help the Embera people. Rent End of
the Spear at any video store (Marco is the main character for the first 7 minutes!)
Tell your church, civic or educational group about these projects. You are "missing
out" big-time if you are not giving something (even just encouragement!) toward
Marco and the Village!
I am convinced that this story is STILL CONNECTED to the amazing missionary
story told about in the movie "End of the Spear". The work of those original
missionaries continues to touch lives! Wanna be part of that story?!

Thank you for your interest in reading these pages about Marco Flaco, the Embera village, and Digital Mission.
I've tried to make this site interesting as we chronicle the amazing things God is doing among us.
My mother passed away in July '07 and I was left a 1/4 share of the profit from selling her house. This is the only way I
could help Marco and the tribe. (Thank you Mom, you'd be proud.) But now I've "blown the budget" in helping them as
much as I could. I've spent over ten thousand dollars in the last year and a half to help Marco, his village and his older
brother who is in a "Tourism" degree program.
I would like to thank several folks who have also helped out with this project:
First of all, my sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Dick Dunnahoe! OUTSTANDING! Thank you so much for your
encouragement and shelling out some big bucks for a worthy cause. Thank you for believing in Marco and in Me!
And the following people have given $50 or more to help during this intense year of
2008 to help Marco:
Dino and Lynnelle Kummelehne, Todd and Denisa Powers, Randy and Kelly Scott, Marilyn
Richards... all from my fellowship group in Bandon. (And thanks also for others who have prayed.)
Ed Holland of Atlanta whom I met at Bandon Dunes. And Doug Kopcha, Caddie, you da man!
Bill Ewing of Every Tribe Entertainment, one of the producers of End of the Spear.
NOW IT IS TIME FOR SOME OTHER FOLKS and/or CHURCHES TO HELP OUT!
Can you send a monthly pledge to help Marco with his expenses, or to help us PREPARE for next year, when we are
hoping Marco can go to a Christian high school in KC or Portland?
And the Embera Village in Panama could certainly use some more help:
I would like to put a "love-in-action" (my term for it) work / relationship team together to GO TO THE EMBERA
VILLAGE in Panama and help build a church building and possibly do a clean water or electrical project. Please pray
and think about this! YWAM is helping a little bit, but they have the entire country to work on ministering to. Or, if you
know of any person or group who might be interested in helping join this project.... well, it needs help. Let me know!
As far as GOING to Panama, the plane fare is about $600 from Portland. Panama is eight hours from there, or only six
hours from the mid-west, Kansas City for example. A nice, clean hotel room in Panama City is $40 a night... for TWO
people! And of course visiting the village would be about $20 a day for lodging AND food. So, for $900 you could have
a FANTASTIC visit to Panama and the Embera village for eight days! (Not including work supplies needed.)
PEOPLE! Panama is a great place to visit! It is easy to get there, very safe, we have a wonderful connection
with the Embera village. Oh, and the currency is... the American dollar!
