If you know of any groups or individuals who might like to come to Thailand and do a
work project, let me know. This country is very friendly and there are some interesting
"tourist" things to do. But mostly, there is important work to improve the quality of many
people's lives and also impact their lives (and ours!) with LOVE!
Here are just two shots of the work team from Denver working on TWO
churches they built in just two weeks. You've GOT to see this segment on
the video, "Reality DVD" from FLC. What an awesome project with North
Americans working side-by-side with villagers. I know many lives were
changed in amazing ways!
Below is an example of a water tank built by a work team
and FLC for a village up in the mountains of Thailand.
This is a VERY important improvement for the village,
leading to less sickness and more good health! A project
can be done for $5000 US dollars and really does save
lives!
WORK PROJECTS are a very exciting part of the work done by FLC. The
U.S. dollar goes sooo far over there! Buildings can be built, water tanks
poured, remodeling done, etc. for only a few thousand dollars!
And, perhaps as important, the reports from the numerous youth and adult
Mission Teams which come over to do projects is nothing short of AMAZING
and life-changing! Contact me if you have a desire to be part of a Thailand
FLC work team!
Work Team Projects
Here is a FANTASTIC project I would like to tell you about. Below are three pictures I shot of a quick visit we
made to a Karen Dormitory that NEEDS SOME SERIOUS REPAIR, cleaning, painting and landscaping.
Tribal children have the right to attend public school in Thailand. Some villages have primary schools
located right in the village. Other villages are somewhat near a school, so the kids can either walk or catch a
ride in the back of a pick-up truck.
But some villages are just too remote for kids to go to school each day. What do they do?
In this case, there is some property, a little over an acre I'd guess, located in a town about two hours
northwest of Chiang Mai, where (about 40) kids can stay and go to a Thai school. They stay there for a few
weeks at a time, and then go back and visit their family. Kind of like a boarding school, but there's no school,
it's just the (very important) living situation with some Christian "dorm-parents."
At this time the dorm is not operating and is in need of building repair, some remodeling, cleaning, painting,
and landscaping. It sure seems like an awesome 10 day project for a work team to do!! Wanna go? Have
questions? Contact me!

This wasn't built by a North American work team, but the local tribal
people! This Christian school in Hui Bon village was fincanced with a
grant from the Canada Fund and is now finished!
